MDP2DVI is a passive adapter that requires a DP++ port (DisplayPort++), meaning that DVI and HDMI signals can also be passed through the port. Compatible with Intel Thunderbolt, when connected directly to a supporting DisplayPort over Thunderbolt I/O port.

The product I received was really good though it was a wrong shipped item because what my computer actually needed was the regular size display port adapter. But the hp customer service rep was nice that she would give me a credit for this wrong shipped item.
